Every day we workout with inspiring individuals. Some of them also work for us! We thought it was time you met our recent addition to the Coaching Team – meet Tamara.

Why did you start crossfit training? : To try a new sport and challenge myself
Whats your biggest achievement so far?: Qualifying for Victorian weightlifting states after less than a year of training
What is the main health goal you are focusing on at the moment? To maintain my fitness levels and keep furthering myself!
Any advice for anyone just starting their crossfit journey? To preserve as you will reach any goal you have with the right mindset and dedication to succeed!
Tell us something we don’t know about you: I speak two languages and am from New Zealand.
Apart from Crossfit what do you get up to in your spare time: Read, study, travel!

More about Tamara:

Starting from a young age I was always immersed in sports and maintaining my fitness but CrossFit was a game changer.

I discovered it whilst on my school break in 2014 In Mildura and thought to myself this sure does look crazy but I am willing to give it a chance. I did not look back from there, not only do the workouts challenge and test you in every possible way but the community spirit is what kept me coming back.

Since last year I have concentrated on Olympic weightlifting and now have become a competitive weightlifter in the 53kg category qualifying for states and thus has lead me to focus on improving athlete’s movements in this sport as well.

Building on my interests in human anatomy and science, the idea to help guide athletes in their CrossFit journey and improve their movement patterns appealed to me immensely. This definitely did make it an easy decision to complete my Crossfit Coach training and discover how I can help others reach their potential.
